a few interesting posts on male-female single relationships in the church that i've found

1) changed's Theology of dating
2) jibae's Lame Duck post, and the perils of the Ambigious Friend
3) bleuemoon's take from a girl's perspective.

a male friend to whom i forwarded the first link told me, that any analysis of dating etc was an exercise in futility, bec at the end of the day we're all selfish, sinful beings. but since i'm female i have genes that make me analyse things to death, and the above links should provide some interesting reading for the moment.

dating someone in the church can get complicated if not handled well. ive seen too much of that to want to date someone in my church. but oh wait, i'm already outa the game

another thing, in most of these posts it seems like they're saying that christian men court the ladies and ladies just sit back and wait. i suppose there is a biblical explaination to this. in all cases, God made the man the head of the home. if a man cannot take initiative at something, how can he be the one to wear the pants in the marriage?

...oh, i was just trying to say that i agree with them. hehe.

interesting, very interesting, I dont' have the time to share now, but I have my two cents on this.

The posts hit some good spots, but I don't think they hit it all.

The ideal of being brothers and sisters. And the principal of purity and speaking the Truth in Love. Ah, I just can't help it, but to be amazed at how God created and designed us.

church romance is always tricky, but I agree with jibae's blog to not mess with the other person's feelings. it's already hard enough for young people with their raging hormones as it is. it takes a lot of patience and faith to make sure that you have found the right match.
